Women receiving both mammography education and mobile mammographic access will get the maximum benefit and diagnosed early allowing lifesaving follow up as necessary. Rural women who had to travel farther were less likely to participate in screening. Due to its size and the sensitivity of the medical equipment the mobile can only travel on a paved or sealed road. Arrangements are made to locate the mobile in a nearby town within easy access of the rural communities.
