Our custom built Nuclear Imaging Van features Siemens e-Cam Gamma Camera and Philips Forte Nuclear Imaging System.
The Siemens e-Cam , also rebranded Siemens Symbia E as well as Toshiba t.com, remains one of the most widely installed & utilized systems in the world. It is available in single and dual head configurations and most suitable for mobile vans. Due to space constraints in the Mobile Nuclear Van environment and transportation issues, the Single Proton Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) is ideal for the Mobile Systems. Our Mobile Nuclear Imaging Coach features:
Per *Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) significant historical events can be highlighted in a thumbnail sketch.
In 1896 Henri Becquerel discovered rays from uranium which were subsequently named “Radioactivity by Marie Curie in 1897. In 1903 Alexander Graham Bell advised placing sources of radium in or near tumors. In 1940 the Rockefeller Foundation sponsored research for biomedical radioisotope production. In 1948 Abbot Laboratories initiated Radioisotopes distribution. In 1951 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved radio pharmaceutical. In 2008 the first hybrid PET/MRI system for humans, created by Siemens, was installed. *For a complete list of Molecular Imaging historical events visit SNMMI.org website.
Nuclear scans such as radioisotope and radionuclide scans can help diagnose cancers, injuries, infections and reveal how the heart and lungs are functioning. Nuclear medicine imaging procedures can offer potential to identify disease in its earliest stages.
Designated camera or imaging devices utilized in Nuclear Medicine include gamma camera and single photon emission-computed tomography (SPECT). Newer technology and related equipment can substantially reduce the procedure duration.
Our custom built Philips Dual Head Forte Storage and Exchanger System is convenient and efficient. Our dual head lock down system insures minimum camera down time. We can accommodate Nuclear Imaging Systems for most manufacturers.
Each coach has expandable sides, waiting room, reception, Siemens e-Cam and Philips Forte Nuclear Imaging System and ergonomically designed interior to maximize patients flow and efficiency. We can also create custom coach with Nuclear Imaging and Camera Systems for most manufacturers. Contact us for a proposal.
The following are the top ten diagnostic imaging device manufacturers.
SPECT (Single Proton Emission Computed Tomography) is a type of nuclear imaging test, which means it uses a radioactive substance and special camera to create 3-D pictures. 2-D Imaging X-rays can show what the structures inside a body look like while a SPECT Scan can show how blood flows to your heart, tissues and organ or what areas of your brain are more active or less active.
